The final debate between Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Republican challenger Mike Minogue was a fiery one indeed.
The debate sponsored by WCVB came just hours before Early Voting in the state opens on Saturday.
The two candidates clashed on all the hot button topics from the cost of living and energy in the state- to ethics in government.
That was targeted at the Lamar Cook case.
Cook is the former aide to Healey who is facing both state and federal charges.
Healey continued to try to link Minogue with President Trump.
Minogue, for his part said he is his own man and wouldn't hesitate to work across party lines if it were the right thing for the state.
Minogue blamed Healey for the high cost of energy.
Healey responded that she was working everyday to bring all forms of affordable energy to the state.
Early voting gets underway on Saturday.
Election Day is November 3.
