Governor Maura Healey is weighing in on the legal challenges over the selection of the location of the new Springfield courthouse.
The developers who lost out on the contract for the proposed two-billion-dollar Springfield Regional Justice Center on Liberty Street claim the process was tainted by a conflict of interest on the winning development team.
The governor defended the selection process, stating that the pick saves taxpayers 300-million-dollars.
She added that litigation is "often the case" following any bid award.
