Today marks 15 years since a devastating tornado hit the Springfield area.
On June 1st, 2011, an E-F-Three tornado formed in Westfield and traveled almost 40 miles through the city, destroying 14-hundred homes and close to 80 businesses.
Three people were killed and about 200 others were injured.
