A Holyoke man is convicted of first-degree murder for a homicide almost four years ago.
Hampden County officials say Elijah Melendez was recently found guilty of killing Elis Vizcarrondo, whose body was found in the Connecticut River in July 2022.
Prosecutors said Melendez and another person murdered Vizcarrondo due to his cooperation in a previous homicide investigation.
Melendez will be sentenced on Friday.
