Yankees Shut Out Red Sox In Opener

The Yankees shut out the Red Sox 4-0 to open their series at Fenway Park.

Luis Gil earned the victory after striking out two over six and a third scoreless.

Giancarlo Stanton led the way at the plate after going two for four with a solo homer and three runs batted in.

New York has now won four in a row.

Connelly Early was tagged with the loss after allowing three runs on five hits and three walks.

Boston has now dropped three of its last four games.
