Grammy-Nominated Chilmark Musician Dies At The Age Of 50

Grammy-nominated musician, producer and Chilmark resident John Forte' has died at the age of 50.

Police were called to Forte's home on Martha's Vineyard Monday afternoon after a neighbor found him unresponsive and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

There is no indication on the cause of his death and police do not suspect foul play.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death, and the case remains under investigation.

Forte' wrote and produced several tracks on The Fugees' 1996 album "The Score."
