New Dr. Seuss Book Unearthed

A newly discovered Dr. Seuss book has been found in the archives of UC San Diego's Geisel Library.

The manuscript was found with a cover sketch and is titled "Sing The 50 United States."

The book is said to be filled with Seuss's playful rhymes and rhythm and teaches about the 50 states with the inclusion of Cat in the Hat and two Little Cat helpers.

The book will be published by Random House Children's books with a release date of June 2026.

Dr. Seuss was the pen name of Theodor Seuss Geisel, who split his time between Springfield, Massachusetts and the San Diego suburb of La Jolla.
