Firefighters were called to the Salvation Army building in Holyoke Monday night.
Crews were sent to the facility on Appleton Street shortly before 7 p.m.
Officials said a small fire was found in the boiler and chimney area and put out a short time later.
The fire is under investigation, but authorities believe it was caused by a faulty boiler.
It wasn't the only fire that crews had to deal with.
