Cooley Dickinson Hospital Nurses To Hold Strike Authorization Vote

Nurses at Cooley Dickinson Hospital will decide next month on whether or not to authorize a strike.

The Massachusetts Nurses Association says members at Cooley Dickinson will hold a strike-authorization vote on October 9th.

The union says Cooley nurses are dealing with unsafe conditions, uncompetitive wages, and potential hikes to health insurance costs, while the Mass General Brigham healthcare system continues to make "enormous profits."

The vote would not guarantee a strike, but would give the union the option to hold a one-day work stoppage.
