Nearly a dozen cities and towns in Massachusetts are at a high risk for the West Nile Virus.
That's according to state public health officials who report that the areas currently at high risk are Boston, Acton, Bedford, Billerica, Brookline, Carlise, Chelmsford, Dracut, Lowell, and Newton.
This is based on mosquito samples which have tested positive in these areas.
So far, there have been no human cases of West Nile this year in Massachusetts.
