Senator Richard Blumenthal says he's ashamed and angry after meeting with an Afghan translator who is detained by ICE.
Blumenthal met with the man named Zia yesterday at an ICE detention facility in Massachusetts, and says him being in a prison right now is an outrage.
The Senator says that the only reason why Zia was apprehended was because ICE has a quota system.
Six masked ICE agents took Zia into custody last month as he was leaving a routine meeting with immigration officials in East Hartford.
ICE indicates that Zia is under investigation for a serious criminal allegation.
