Heat Advisory For Region- Cooling Centers Open in Springfield

A heat advisory will be in effect in for all of Massachusetts except the Berkshires, the South Coast, Cape Cod and the Islands from 11 a.m. today until eight p.m. Friday.

Highs in the mid-90s with tropical humidity will create "feel like" temperatures over 100 degrees.

Everyone should drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun and stay in air-conditioned rooms as much as possible.

Because of the extreme heat cooling centers are open in Springfield today and tomorrow.
