Pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca is planning to invest 50-billion-dollars in the U.S. by 2030.
President Trump made the announcement on Tuesday from the White House.
The company opting for expansion rather than being hit with tariffs.
The UK-based company will build a facility in Virginia.
The company also plans to create hundreds of jobs at the Virginia plant.
There is an expected expansion in Massachusetts as well.
The company does have a pretty big footprint in the Boston area.
Company officials say there is an expected expansion coming to the Baystate but there are no details.
