A man is facing charges after he allegedly hit a West Springfield police cruiser while intoxicated.
Authorities said a car driven by 25-year-old Leeony Tessier slammed into an officer's patrol vehicle at Riverdale Street and Ashley Avenue early Saturday morning.
Police say Tessier was intoxicated to the point that he needed to use his car to balance himself.
The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries but has since been released.
