Five Hospitalized After Treating Inmate Overdose

Five staff members at a northern Connecticut prison had to be taken to the hospital after treating an inmate who overdosed.

Officials said the employees started experiencing symptoms of dizziness, tingling, and feeling extremely hot after administering Narcan to the inmate at the MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield last week.

Their conditions have not been released.

Connecticut State Police are investigating.
