Price Of Eggs Drops 61%

The price of eggs has dropped nearly 61-percent since March.

The latest data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture shows white, large shell eggs now average about two-dollars and 52-cents per dozen.

That's down sharply from over eight dollars a dozen the first week of March.

A study by Clarify Capital in April said over 30-percent of Americans had stopped buying eggs due to the high costs.

Besides that, many restaurants and diners, specializing in breakfast have added 50 cent per egg surcharges in order to keep up with costs.
