A teen from Milford, Massachusetts, in Central Massachusetts has been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
It all happened Saturday morning after the eighteen-year-old junior from Milford High School was going to volleyball practice when ICE teams surrounded the teen’s car and took him into custody.
Two other teens were released because they were minors.
It is unclear why the teen was taken into custody. ICE has not commented yet, and Governor Maura Healey says she wants answers now as to what the detainment transpired.
In a Facebook statement, the Governor says she is disturbed by the federal action.
Milford High School officials say they had no prior knowledge and had no part in the operation.
His volleyball coach says the teen is a good kid who excels in sports and also plays in the band.
