Harvard Study Touts Anti-Aging Benefits Of Vitamin D

A study called VITAL is touting the anti-aging benefits of Vitamin D supplements.

Dr. JoAnn Manson, a preventive medicine expert at Harvard Medical School, tracked 50-thousand people over fifty for five years and found that Vitamin D supplements may help slow down biological aging by as much as three years.

The study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, shows that Vitamin D seems to protect telomeres on your chromosomes that shrink as you age and are linked to heart issues, cancer and other chronic medical conditions.

She says good natural sources of Vitamin D include fatty fish, wild mushrooms, dairy products, orange juice and sunlight exposure.
