Forty-three people are losing their jobs at Baystate Health this week.
It's the next phase of a restructuring plan initiated last fall to improve the company's financial situation.
CEO Peter Banko said most of the jobs that have been eliminated to reduce the workforce by seven-percent have been through retirements and attrition.
He said the 43 jobs being cut this week were targeted to minimize impact to direct patient care.
