Five international students at U-Mass Amherst have lost their legal status in the United States.
University Chancellor Javier Reyes says the students had their visas revoked and student statuses terminated by the federal government.
According to Reyes, the students lost their visas because of alleged incidents that were in some cases as minor as off-campus traffic violations.
He also noted that students' legal statuses were never immediately canceled due to a revoked visa until this administration.
