Massachusetts Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren are calling for resignations after national security officials accidentally shared sensitive military plans with the editor of Atlantic magazine.
The messages about plans for air strikes on Yemen's Houthi rebels were sent prior to last weekend's attack.
Markey said both National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth should step down.
Warren said if Hegseth had quote, "even a tiny bit of honor and sense of responsibility" he should have already resigned.
Meantime, National security adviser Mike Waltz "has learned a lesson," according to President Trump.
That's what he told NBC News when asked about a reporter claiming he was included on a group text that discussed plans to strike Houthi targets.
The Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg said he was included on a text chain on the encrypted messaging app Signal, that also appeared to include Vice President JD Vance, National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
