Have you ever been to a restaurant and thought it needs more attention? That more people need to experience this amazing food?
Luckily, TripAdvisor has the scoop on the best "hidden gem" restaurants in the country. This list is part of their annual Travelers' Choice awards, where reviewers and travelers decide on the top eateries to check out. For the list of hidden gems, they focused on "lesser-known spots and places locals love."
One Colorado restaurant made it on the list: The Dish Room!
This cozy, farm-to-fork restaurant offers Southwest, Italian, and new American dishes, as well as a full bar. Make sure you book a reservation for Saturday night since they serve slow-cooked prime ribs only on the day. There are also special menus for the holidays!
The Dish Room also prides itself on using family-raised meats and fresh produce from local farmers. They also have plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options.
GFBecky, a TripAdvisor user, wrote a sterling review about the restaurant:
"A gem in the middle of nowhere!! Exceptional service and numerous [gluten-free] options. I had the butternut squash enchiladas and the flavor was absolutely amazing!! My husband had the ribeye (also GF) and he said it was one of the best steaks he’s ever had. If you’re traveling near Burlington, Colorado, you won’t want to miss this wonderful restaurant!!"
You can find The Dish Room at 218 S. Lincoln St. in Burlington. They're available for dine-in and curbside pickup.
