Neal, McGovern Condemn Iran Attack

Area lawmakers are condemning the U.S-Israeli strikes on Iran.

Congressman Richard Neal said the strikes were unauthorized, and House Democrats plan to force a vote this week on a resolution to rein in President Trump's military operations.

Congressman Jim McGovern said American soldiers and innocent civilians have been "recklessly put in harm's way" with what he called Trump's "illegal, unconstitutional war."

McGovern asked if the U.S. has learned "absolutely nothing" from "decades of endless war and reckless attempts at regime change in the Middle East."
