Supreme Judicial Court To Hear New Arguments In 2005 Murder Conviction

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court will hear new arguments in a 2005 Western Mass murder case that ended in a conviction.

The attorney for Dennis Bateman claims his trial was "infected with errors," including an alleged edited audio recording of a conversation with police.

Bateman was found guilty of killing 21-year-old Brandy Waryasz, a pregnant gas station employee, during a robbery in Deerfield.

The hearing is set for October 14.
