The Boston Celtics are another step closer to having new ownership in control.
Yesterday, the NBA board of governors unanimously approved the sale of the Celtics to a group led by private equity mogul Bill Chisholm.
The league expects for the transaction to close shortly.
Chisholm will take ownership of at least 51-percent of the team, with full control coming by 2028 at a price that could bring the total value of the sale to seven-point-three billion dollars.
