The Berkshire County Sheriff's Office is warning the community about an ongoing phone scam.
An individual is contacting people to inform them that they have missed their scheduled jury duty or have a warrant for their arrest.
The caller is identifying themselves as Officer Rinheart and or Sergeant Rinheart of the Berkshire County Sheriff's Office.
The scammer is looking for nine thousand dollars in return to clear the warrant and is requesting payment through various online services.
Anyone who receives this call should hang up.
