Karen Read Jury Continues Deliberations

Jury deliberations will begin again today in the Karen Read murder retrial in Massachusetts.

Yesterday, Read told reporters why her lawyers wanted to add "not guilty" boxes to each of the lesser offenses, ranging from involuntary manslaughter to drunk driving.

The lawyers say not having the "not guilty" option on those charges led to a deadlocked jury, but the judge disagreed.

Her lawyers say Read is being framed by police for the death of Boston police officer John O'Keefe.

She's charged with second-degree murder -- accused of hitting him with her SUV in 2022 and leaving him to die in a snowstorm.

Read says that all she can do is move forward and wait for the jury.
