The Connecticut legislature is in its final push before adjournment of its regular session Wednesday night at midnight.
Lawmakers still have not completed their primary job, which is approving a budget package for the two year fiscal period that begins July first.
On Saturday the House passed Senate Bill One, which would create a new fund outside the spending cap for early childhood education.
A bill that seeks to provide electric rate relief to state residents is expected to be taken up by the House today or tomorrow.
