Lee Brice is slated to unveil a reflective new single that focuses on letting go of a previous version of yourself to grow into a new chapter in life. “Killed The Man” will officially release on Friday (October 31); however, iHeartCountry listeners can catch it one day early.

Brice co-produced the track with Ben Glover and Jerrod Niemann. Michael Whitworth, Jared Conrad, Troy Cartwright and Chandler Baldwin teamed up to write the song. “Killed The Man” resonated with Brice because of his current place in life, personally and professionally. The South Carolina-born country star delivered his debut studio album 15 years ago, and has continued to build his career as an artist while he and his wife, Sara, raise their three children. “Killed The Man” illustrates how the most important people in life inspire growth.

“To me, ‘Killed The Man’ is about that kind of love that changes everything,” Brice said in a statement. “The old me didn’t survive it — and I’m glad he didn’t. She buried him, married me, and I came out the other side a different man.”

Brice has previously shared sneak peeks of “Killed The Man,” including when he announced the music video will premiere on Friday at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT. Listen to the song one day early by listening to iHeartCountry or iHeartRadio country stations nationwide on Thursday (October 30).
