Blake Shelton joined Rascal Flatts on a new version of the trio’s early 2000s anthem, “Mayberry,” marking a full circle moment years after the artists toured together.
The song is part of Rascal Flatt’s upcoming collaborations album, Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets. The 10-track record includes reimagined renditions of the award-winning trio’s beloved, career-spanning hits featuring Carly Pearce, Backstreet Boys, Jordan Davis and more. Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets also includes “I Dare You,” a new collaboration with the Jonas Brothers.
“It was so much fun playing with Blake again. He was on our first two tours with us back in the day, and it means so much that he wanted to do this project with us,” Rascal Flatts star Joe Don Rooney, who performs in the trio with Jay DeMarcus and Gary LeVox said in a statement on Friday (March 28). “He’s one of the best in the business. He truly owned this song…It sounds like a Blake Shelton record now!”

The Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets announcement arrives as the trio continues their tour with Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane in honor of the group’s milestone anniversary year. “This album is just another attempt for us to thank our fans for the blessings they’ve given us on this crazy journey the past 25 years, thanks for riding along with us!”
