Necco Wafers have been revived thanks to an Ohio Company (Spangler Candy Company); but just the chocolate kind. To celebrate Patriot's Day they're being handed out for free down by the Boston Marathon finish line.
I remember my Grandma Parker usually had these wafers in her purse. I was not a huge fan of the other colors, but the chocolate was my jam and clearly worth bringing back.
Originally Necco was created by the New England Confectionary Company in Revere until it closed up shop for good in 2018.
