1st Woman To Run Boston Returns 50 Years Later

A little history lesson... in 1967 the Boston Marathon was an all male race. In fact women weren't officially able to register to run until 1972. But in 67' Katherine Switzer signed up under her initials and ran the race! Men tried to remove her from the course and her boyfriend intervened so she could finish in 4 hours 22 minutes. Yesterday she ran again 50 years later at the age of 70 finishing in 4 hours 44 minutes.

An inspiration to all the ladies out there! Remember to be fearless!
