Carrie Underwood is “waiting all day for Sunday night” in her 12th consecutive Sunday Night Football show open that premiered last month. The Grammy-winning country star reportedly makes a staggering $1 million every week when the theme song plays on Sunday nights.

That means Underwood is making $18 million throughout the 18-week season.

Underwood filmed the Sunday Night Football show open at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, where she became the inaugural resident headliner with her residency, REFLECTION. The show spans into spring 2025. Sunday Night Football Creative Director Tripp Dixon previously said Underwood’s newest performance is “show-stopping...with backstage and behind the scenes energy to set the tone for this special night.”

“Shooting the new show open is always something I look forward to, and Tripp and the whole creative team brought it yet again, and we had a great day putting on an exciting new performance,” Underwood said in a statement recently shared by her record label as the new Sunday Night Football open made its debut. “Like everybody else, I’m waiting all day for Sunday night!”
