With the summer just starting and then heading into the fall, there's definitely not a shortage of horror movies coming out.
Between now and the end of the year, there are plenty of reasons to make you scream—including dolls, sharks, clowns, alligators, etc.
I used to be a huge fan of scary movies until about 10 years ago. Now I watch them sparingly—with people and while the sun is still shining—so I don't have nightmares. I watched all of these trailers with one eye open and all of the lights on. Don't judge me...
Annabelle Comes Home — June 26
This doll creeps me out! This is the third movie in the Annabelle film series and seventh in The Conjuring Universe.
Midsommar — July 3
This festival in Sweden only happens once every 90 years and it's about to get weird.
Crawl — July 12
With a huge storm hitting Florida everyone must evacuate. Unfortunately a father and daughter get stuck and are tormented by an alligator. No thank you!
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark — August 9
Yup, this one will definitely give me nightmares. Telling stories too many times could make them become real.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged — August 16
Of course you have to have a summer shark movie and this one looks terrifying.
It Chapter Two — September 6
I think this might be one of the most anticipated horror movies for the rest of the year. Witness the end of It.
Doctor Sleep — November 8
Almost 40 years in the making there is finally a sequel to The Shining. My mom told me stories of how The Shining scared her so much, she never watched another scary movie. I can't say I've seen it, but maybe before Doctor Sleep comes out I should at least try to watch it.
So there you have it. If you are a fan of horror movies, it looks like you've got a great few months ahead.
Happy screaming :)
Which movie are you most excited to see?
