TMSG: 17-Year-Old Walks For The 1st Time In 9 Years At Prom

A 17-year-old amputee got a chance to try out her new legs for the first time at a special prom held at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Tamesha Simmons debuted her new prosthetic legs making this the first time she's walked in about 9 years. “I was scared to go to the prom. I was scared and I didn’t want to go,” Tamesha told Inside Edition. “But once I came down here, I calmed down and I was having fun and stuff.”

She says her mom saw her and was so happy. She walked better than she ever has in therapy and was able to regain her confidence in using her new legs.
