Did You Catch Both Bohemian Rhapsody Cameos?

I was a bit hesitant to see Bohemian Rhapsody after I saw initial critiques from friends on the FB right after it came out. However, yesterday I went to see it and I LOVED IT!

Now my biggest hang up initially was knowing how the movie ended... FYI the video below about the True Story clarifies a few things...

According to the movie In 1985 Queen played Live Aid after being on the outs for a while. It was also the time that Freddy came out to the band informing them he had Aids. In real life the band had only been off the road for a few months & a number of them had side projects while still belonging to the band.

And Freddy was not diagnosed with HIV/Aids until 1987. He reportedly informed his bandmates a little while after the diagnosis and the world didn't know until he officially passed in 1991 from pneumonia due to complications from the disease. With those clarifications off my chest...

I've been a huge fan of Queen since I was introduced via Wayne's World in 1992 (I was 7 at the time). I loved that Mike Meyers shows up in the movie as a label rep telling the band that no radio station would play a 6 minute long song.  5 Crazy Little Details also reveals another cameo I missed. Adam Lambert (yes from American Idol) has been touring with the remaining members of Queen for years. There's a trucker scene in the film... that trucker is in fact Mr. Lambert!

Also a fun fact for you... Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody first hit number one in the UK in 1975 and then again in 1991 after his death. It's the only song in the UK that's been #1 twice with the same version years apart.

In the states it reached #9 in 1976 and then #2 in 1992 after the release of Wayne's World

After seeing this movie I'm reminded how Freddy Mercury really is the best front man their ever has been!
