This year I was asked to emcee part of Springfield's 2nd Annual Jam Fest and I'm pumped! Chris from the Springfield Bid stopped by to give me details on this years event... check out our interview!
It's free live music Saturday at the MGM Plaza from Noon-11PM. They'll be raising money throughout the day for NAMI National Allaiance on Mental Illness of Western Mass - the theme of the day is #RockTheStigma. One in five deals with some sort of mental illness.
I'm very open with my own issues with anxiety/depression. For so long people thought it was something to hide/to be ashamed or that it was a sign of weakness. I used to think for so long that I was being weak until I gave myself a scare. It's a sign of strength to step forward and look for help and the more people that are open about it the more help people will get! Glad to be at this event... it's gonna be a great day with lots of amazing music!
