After more than 100 years the Boy Scouts are allowing in the girls. To reflect the times they've adopted the new name Scouts BSA. The Girl Scouts in response will be upping their marketing to attract girls to their organization.
Now I don't know what you actually do in either organizations than earn badges, sell cookies, and pitch tents. Jimmy Kimmel last night explained his young experience in the Boy Scouts.
In the past decade Boy Scouts have come under fire for not being inclusive when it comes to scout leaders and they have seen a significant drop in membership. Since then they've tried to repair their image by becoming more inclusive.
Personally I don't have any deep feelings on this other than shouldn't they just merge forces and become the Scouts of America?
