I have a love/hate relationship with grocery shopping like I'm sure many do. Some weeks I will put it off and put it off until I'm working on pasta with no sauce! Mild exaggeration, but I hate going to the store during the week and try to make it to Sunday when I find the best time is 9:30AM.
Why 9:30AM on a Sunday? Well... I'm not sure if people tend to sleep in later on Sundays or go to Church, but I do my shopping at the Big Y in Northampton and it always seems to be the primo time! If you were to go at 9:30 on a Saturday not the same! And 9:30 during the week I'm sure would be not as crowded as a Saturday, but at those times I'm at work!
The other glorious thing about 9:30 on Sundays... if part of your adulting is picking up a nice bottle or wine or two... maybe some brewskis for Sunday Funday... then at 10AM you can buy alcohol! Get your food... get your adult bevies and boom you are on your way home within an hour time!
According to Today they say the best times are either 8AM or 8PM... the only issue I have with 8PM is sometimes certain departments are already shut down.
What do you think is the best time to shop?
These two dudes have some tips too... when to get best discounts & freshest ingredients... but my focus is always to avoid crowds...
