For the first time in a long time I watched an award show that was entirely dedicated to country music. Why? Well yes I wanted to see FGL & John Legend. BUT what I really wanted to see was Cher & Celine Dion (how you know you're not exactly down with the kids these days).
FGL & John Legend delivered a beautiful performance of "H.O.L.Y". Sam Hunt delivered "Body Like A Backroad" and for the first time attended an event as a married couple with wife Hannah Lee.
My favorite parts though came from Cher & Celine. Also muting the television during some of the new popstars performing... not because they sounded bad (well some), but I felt muted it may look amusing. Yes ...yes it did!
I recollect watching repeats on VH1 of the Sonny & Cher show and loving it! "Turn Back Time" is an epic 80s tune... I think we all can recollect the video of her dancing around the battleship in what was basically duct tape and fishnet.
And Celine brought many to tears with her performance of "My Heart Will Go On"... it didn't help that they also had scenes from Titanic in the background. She performed the tune to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the movie... feel old yet? I DON'T CARE! Enjoy my top moments!
