A few months back I was asked if I would be willing to dress up as a Super Hero to help raise awareness for the Will Power Foundation. The organizations mission is to empower people with different abilities and bridge the financial gap that some of these families feel when trying to assist their child with unique abilities.
Roy was the one that filled me in on this organization that has raised over $150,000 for local families since 2008. In my book it's so important to do something in life to help others and I'm so touched when I hear from/meet young people that get so involved and passionate about a cause.
Why is it so important to Roy?
"I have worked in special needs community for the past ten years and have seen day in and day out the amazing things this individuals are capable and how they see the world. They don't have the same worries that you and I have. They just want to learn, have fun and most of all make others happy. I have seen some of the amazing abilities these individuals have."
