Jelly Roll Says He's 'Tired Of Crying' On The Internet: 'I Can’t Quit'

Jelly Roll said he’s “tired of crying on the damn internet,” when he shared a compilation of clips he’s previously posted to his social media pages while shedding a tear.

The reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Best New Artist award in both Pop and Country categories opened the video with a clip from his recent conversation with author and podcast host Jay Shetty. Jelly Roll said during the On Purpose with Jay Shetty episode: “I joke all the time, Jay, I didn’t cry until I was 33 (and) now I can’t quit. I mean, it’s like I thought I’d caught up by now. But I mean, I still, just for no reason, I’ll just sob.”

Jelly Roll reminisced on some previously-shared, tearful moments, including learning he’d been nominated for his first Grammy Award and more. It was set to “Smile So Much” from his latest full-length album — and deluxe edition, which released on the same day earlier this month — Beautifully Broken. The final moment to appear in Jelly Roll’s video he shared on Wednesday (October 30) is a recent moment that the “Need A Favor” artist posted. Jelly Roll said he broke “a generational curse,” in an emotional video he captured while walking on his newly-purchased land for the first time. He said in that moment that “last thing I need was to be crying on TikTok today. I said I wasn’t gonna do that. I’m tired of crying on f***ing [social media] platforms in front of everybody.”
