Springfield's Great Escape Opens Downtown

Springfield's Great Escape opened this month in downtown Springfield, the "first escape room" of its kind in the city. Visitors must solve riddles, using clues and brains to escape the room in the allotted time.  Only one group has managed to solve the puzzle completely so far.

Springfield's Great Escape currently has one vampire-themed theater that the owner and said founder James Krobath, a former design engineer, "I created and designed each room on my own" 


At $25 per person, Springfield's Great Escape claims to be the ultimate team-building activity, encouraging groups, typically of 6 to 8 people to come out and experience the game together. Smaller groups of 2 to 4 are also accepted, but may share a time slot with other small groups. 

Krobath plans to apply for a license to eventually incorporate food, wine and beer at the location.
