Looks like Marvel will be bringing part of the filming for "Black Panther - Wakanda Forever" to MIT this weekend. It had already been reported that later this month some scenes would be filmed around Worcester and now MIT.
Most of the film production is happening in Atlanta, but scenes around the West Campus at MIT will be filmed this Friday - Monday.
The plot around the movie scenes at MIT are under wraps, but should show off the school.
Film star Chadwick Boseman passed away last summer, but the film makers believe that this sequel will honor his legacy. No official cast roster, but Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba, and Angela Bassett, are all reported to be coming back. The film hits theaters July 8, 2022.
