I am a working dog and looking for a job to do. I have great herding instincts and wouldn't mind living on a farm. I would be quite happy being a hiking or jogging partner too. I still have some learning to do with manners on the leash and learning to settle. The nice thing about my adoption is there is a discount towards Dakin classes.
And January is National Dog Training month.  In addition to basic training classes, Dakin has some other fun classes that we might enjoy together.

I'm a Dixie dog. I came from an overcrowded Texas shelter that can have over 700 dogs at a time! Because of that, my chances of adoption there were very slim. Luckily, I won the golden ticket for a ride on the rescue transport going north, so I'm pretty happy to be chosen.

I am recommended for older children.  Cats would likely not be amused by me but having an opportunity to romp and play with another dog might help my high exercise needs.  I have the potential to be a really, really wonderful dog and need a patient someone who is dog-savvy to help me reach my full potential
