Gov. Deval Patrick is putting the finishing touches on his State of the State address. Patrick initially planned to give the speech last week, but had to postpone it because of a winter storm. Patrick will give the speech at 7:30 p.m. tonight and you can hear it live on NewsRadio 560. It will become something of a political warm-up. President Barack Obama has scheduled his State of the Union speech at 9 p.m. That address to the nation will also be aired on WHYN. Governors have typically used the address to preview their budget priorities, but Patrick was required by the state constitution to deliver his budget to lawmakers last Wednesday. The speech will be the final State of the State address for Patrick, who is not seeking re-election.
